Why do people get Dark Lips Neutralization?
There are 2 basic reasons why people have dark lips. The first one is genetics, i.e. ethnic lips. Now you know that PMUHub thinks there’s nothing more beautiful than your natural self. But we also believe in the power of the PMU industry to fix anything you may see as an imperfection if you truly believe it’ll make your life better. So we say, think about it, and if you really feel like you’ll be happier getting lip blushing for dark lips, go for it. The second one is some type of trauma caused to the lips, for example, injury, lack of vitamins, hormone imbalance, certain medications, too much caffeine or smoking, etc.
How does lip blushing on dark lips work?
So, lip blush is basically done in two to three sessions. The first one is the initial tattooing and after the lips are healed, 6-8 weeks after the treatment, a touch up is needed. This is how it is usually done. But dark lip neutralization, especially ethnic lips, usually requires more sessions to achieve satisfying results. While lip blush is done by coloring the lips, neutralization is needed for lip blushing on dark lips. The first step is to neutralize cool tones and lift the darkness of lips with the help of warm-based pigment. After the lips are neutralized and healed, a target color can be added if you want it. Dark lips neutralization is not an easy task to do. It should be done by a skilled and certified lip blush artist, who has experience in lip blushing on dark lips and knows the color theory inside out.
Does it work on anyone?
Some people are not good candidates for dark lip neutralization. Those who have excessive lip hyperpigmentation can end up getting even darker lips after the treatment. That is why most artists don’t want to work on melanin-rich lips. This requires a lot of knowledge and skill, and only highly trained artists are able to do it successfully.
How long does Lip Blush on dark lips last?
Lip blush can last up to 5 years, but lip blushing on dark lips lasts shorter – its lifespan is 1-2 years. After that, a color refreshment is needed, because the dark spots are going to show back up.
What are cold sores and can they effect healed results?
Lips are especially sensitive. The skin of the lip is very thin compared to the typical facial skin. Blood vessels appear through the skin of the lips which leads to their notable red coloring. Since lips are very vascular and because of a high number of nerve endings any trauma around the mouth area may cause an occurrence of cold sores. Cold sores are caused by Herpes Simplex Virus HSV type 1. Treatment can help but this condition can’t be cured completely. Over 90% of people get at least one cold sore in their life. Cold sores are also called fever blisters, that can show on every part of the body, mostly on lips. When you experience blisters they break and ooze, building yellow scab and eventually they fall off. If your body doesn’t develop antibodies, you might get blisters frequently throughout your life. Cold sores mostly spread from person to person through the exchange of bodily fluids; from mother to child during birth, saliva (mouth-to-mouth kissing or sharing drinks) or unprotected vaginal, anal or oral sex.
How Can Lip Blush Affect Herpes?
People sometimes use PMU treatments to cover scars and improve scar tissue texture, including from the effects of previous herpes breakout. Working on scar tissue requires a high skill level and the proper pigment color. I prefer working with gentle movements at a 45° angle and light-value pigments. Note that stress, fever, infection, allergies, sunburns and, yes, a PMU treatment can induce a breakout. Therefore, we suggest that PMU clients with a history of cold sore breakouts consult with their physician if they’d like to take preventive measures. Doctors can prescribe an antiviral treatment to start 2-3 days before the PMU procedure using drugs such as: Valtrex, Valacyclovir, Acyclovir, Famvir and Famciclovir. Clients who have never had sores can take an over-the-counter L-lysine supplement. We also suggest, pending doctor approval, clients continue taking the medication or supplements for up to 6 days after the PMU procedure.
